Jebsen & Jessen Technology Turf & Irrigation appoints Mark Kolentsis as General Manager for Singapore

We are pleased to welcome Mark Kolentsis as our new General Manager of Singapore for the Turf & Irrigation division, effective January 1st, 2022.

Mr. Kolentsis joined Jebsen & Jessen in September of 2021 as the Regional Equipment Manager for Turf & Irrigation. Mr. Kolentsis will take on the additional responsibility while continuing his current role.

Mr. Kolentsis has extensive experience in sales, distribution, irrigation installation, golf course management, and construction. He has been involved in the golf course industry for over 16 years and has worked in multiple facets of the sector internationally. Mr. Kolentsis’ passion for golf course management took him to Australia, New Zealand, and St. Andrews, where he was a part of the team that prepared The Old Course for the 2010 Open Championship. He then moved to Calgary, Canada to become an Assistant Superintendent at The Glencoe Golf & Country Club, a private 45-hole facility during the construction of a new golf course.

In 2016, Mr. Kolentsis relocated to Vietnam and took on the Country Manager role at Gateway Equipment, where he opened a John Deere and Rain Bird distributorship. He built a successful team and won multiple golf course irrigation projects, most notably, Hoiana Shores.

In 2019, Mr. Kolentsis relocated to Singapore to join Rain Bird. As an Area Manager, he focused on growing sales, increasing profitability, and developing the distribution of golf, landscape, and agricultural irrigation throughout SE Asia. At Rain Bird he was awarded the sales leadership award in 2019 and 2020.

Mr. Kolentsis holds an Associate Diploma in Turfgrass Management from The University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Golf Course Management from Olds College, and an Executive MBA from Rutgers University.
